My Writing Process
Here are some steps that I take when approaching a writing project.
-
Come with relevant story ideas by examining thing happening in the world, current trends, people around me, and my interests.
-
After picking a story, I establish the audience, theme, and message I want to share.
-
Then I start collecting information, interviewing sources, and building up the story to later be pieced together.
-
During my interviewing process I typically go take pictures of the story I am writing about. This helps me find things in the physical area or event that I can continue building the story off of.
-
Once I have all the ingredients to the story, I start writing it.
-
During my writing processes, I plan my beginning, middle, and end and start creating a foundation.
-
After my first drafts, I collaborate with my peers for feedback and editing suggestions.
-
Lastly, I put it all together and organize the flow of the story with visuals and captions to tie everything together.
